How does a portable steam room work?

A Lifepro portable steam room uses a separate steam generator to produce warm, moist steam that fills a foldable tent enclosure. You sit inside the tent while the steam surrounds your body, opening pores, relaxing muscles, and raising your core temperature to deliver the therapeutic benefits of a traditional steam room session, in a fraction of the space and cost.

What's the difference between a steam sauna and an infrared sauna?

A steam sauna fills an enclosed space with hot, humid air (typically 110–130°F) to warm your body from the outside in. An infrared sauna uses light waves to heat your body directly, typically at lower temperatures. Steam saunas are associated with a more traditional sauna experience and are particularly effective for opening pores and respiratory benefits, while infrared saunas tend to penetrate deeper into muscle and joint tissue. Both offer excellent wellness benefits — the right choice depends on personal preference.

How long should a portable steam room session last?

A typical session ranges from 15–30 minutes. Beginners should start with 10–15 minute sessions at lower steam settings and increase duration gradually. Always drink water before and after your session to stay hydrated, and exit the tent immediately if you feel lightheaded, overheated, or unwell.

How easy is a Lifepro portable steam room to set up and store?

Very easy. Lifepro portable steam rooms are designed to assemble in minutes using a simple frame and tent system, and fold down compactly for storage in a closet or under a bed when not in use. No plumbing, no installation, and no dedicated room required — just plug in the steam generator, fill with water, and you're ready to go.
