Your Questions, Answered

How can my HSA/FSA save me money on Lifepro products?

HSA/FSA accounts were created so individuals could use pre-tax money to pay for expenses used to treat, mitigate, or prevent a diagnosed medical condition. Because HSA/FSAs use pre-tax money, you’re getting more purchasing power for your dollars. Rather than pay taxes on income and then spend it on health items, qualified customers can use pre-tax funds to invest in their health.

An individual can contribute up to $4,150 pretax to their HSA per year, or $8,300 for a family (plus an additional $1,000 if you are at least 55 years old. Individuals can contribute up to $3,200 pretax to their FSA per year (with an additional $500 in employer contributions allowed).

What are HSA and FSA accounts?

HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) are special accounts that allow you to set aside pre-tax money for qualified health expenses.

These funds can often be used for products that support medical care, pain management, physical therapy, and preventative wellness.

If you have one of these accounts through your employer or health plan, you may be able to use those funds toward Lifepro products with the help of Truemed.

Can I use my HSA/ FSA to buy Lifepro products?

Yes — most Lifepro products qualify.

At checkout, simply select the Truemed option, complete a short health assessment, and Truemed will determine whether your purchase qualifies for HSA/FSA reimbursement.

If approved, Truemed will provide a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) that allows you to use your HSA/FSA funds.

Can I still pay with my regular credit card?

Yes.

You can complete your purchase with any major credit card, Shop Pay, PayPal, or other payment methods.

After checkout, Truemed will guide you through submitting your purchase for HSA/FSA reimbursement, or you may be able to pay directly using your HSA/FSA card depending on your provider.

What is a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN)?

A Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) is documentation from a licensed healthcare provider stating that a product is being used to support a specific health condition.

Truemed connects you with licensed providers who review your health assessment and determine whether your purchase qualifies. If approved, they issue an LMN that allows the purchase to meet IRS HSA/FSA eligibility requirements.

Are there fees associated with using Truemed's services?

There is no cost to check your eligibility.

In some cases, Truemed may charge a small administrative fee if a Letter of Medical Necessity is issued, which will be clearly disclosed before completing the process.

When should I use my FSA/HSA dollars?

FSA funds typically expire at the end of the year, depending on your plan, so many people choose to use them before they expire.

HSA funds roll over year to year, so they can be used whenever it makes sense for your health and wellness needs.

How long does it take for me to receive my Letter of Medical Necessity?

Most Truemed assessments are reviewed quickly.

If approved, your Letter of Medical Necessity is typically issued within 24–48 hours.

You can then submit your purchase to your HSA/FSA provider for reimbursement if it wasn’t paid with your HSA/FSA card.

I don’t have an HSA/FSA. Can I still benefit from Truemed?

Yes.

Even if you don’t have an HSA or FSA, you can still purchase Lifepro products normally. Truemed simply provides an additional way for eligible customers to save using pre-tax health funds.

I don’t live in the US. Can I still get reimbursed with Truemed?

Currently, Truemed’s HSA/FSA eligibility services are only available to customers with U.S.-based health plans.

International customers can still purchase Lifepro products through our standard checkout.
